Toast, you know it, you love it, but how healthy is it really? A slice of toast is actually pretty healthy, but is it healthy if one eats pounds upon pounds of toast? Would that obsession lead to obesity, or would that person be fine?
A small slice of toast of white bread is around 22 grams and contains around 64 calories and 0.9 grams of fat. 60 calories can be burnt by walking 3 mph for 17 minutes, running 6 mph for 6 minutes, and biking 9 mph for 9 minutes. If you want to eat a pound of toast, you would have to eat 55 slices of toast, which equates to around 3500 calories. 35 grams of Texas toast has 123 calories containing a little more than white bread. Whole wheat bread is the best option to eat if you’re going to have a lot, only having 54 calories!
But one doesn’t want JUST toast. It needs toppings, or at least butter. A small slice that has butter contains 72 calories. Or 0.0205714286% of a pound when rounded. A 97-gram slice of avocado toast has 189 grams or 0.054% of a pound of your already horrible body! A slice of toast with peanut butter that is 67 grams contains 255 grams or 0.07285714285% of a pound so around 14 slices will give you another pound. jelly the blow Withis much softer, in 48 grams one slice has 131 calories so around 27 and 7.5 grams of sugar so around 18 slices is 1 pound. A slice of raisin toast only contains 71 c slices and one pound added onto you. In a slice with peanut butter and jelly, there are 198 calories when it weighs 24 grams. This is much healthier than other toppings like peanut butter or pb and j only having a little more calories than just toast.
If you want to be crazy ( or unhealthy) try toast with nutella. It has 190 calories in 50 grams, this isn’t bad but it also has 13 grams of sugar and 7.3 grams of fat. A slice of honey on toast with wheat bread that weighs 29 grams has 77 calories. A 89 gram slice of french toast has 219 calories without syrup!!!!!!!!!!! Toast should not be the only thing you eat, get unhealthy and add other things to your diet.
I like toast almost as much as pepperoni
